Dr. Vanda Yazbek Karam Abi Raad

Dr. Abi Raad is Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at the Lebanese American University, Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine. She is the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Development and the Interim Chair of the Anesthesiology Department of Rizk hospital. In
March 2022, Dr. Abi Raad became the President of the Lebanese Society of Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Abi Raad received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Saint Joseph University (USJ) and completed her residency in Anesthesiology at the American University of Beirut (AUBMC), followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular anesthesia.
Dr. Abi Raad obtained diplomas ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia (LU & France, 2011), Pedagogy of Teaching (USJ, 2010), and a Master of Health Professions Education (Chicago, 2015). She is certified as a Healthcare Simulation Educator, obtained a Healthcare Leadership Certificate (LAU, 2019), and recently earned an Executive Master of Business Administration from the LAU School of Business. Dr. Abi Raad is the author of numerous publications in regional anesthesia & pain medicine, medical education, simulation-based education and in
leadership.
