Dr. Violette Karam
MD, MPH
Dr. Karam is an Assistant Professor and the Chairperson of the Anesthesiology Department of Mount Lebanon Hospital – Balamand University Medical Center.
She received her medicine doctorate for the Lebanese University and completed her anesthesia residency followed by a cardiovascular anesthesia fellowship at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. She holds two master’s degrees: the first in health and Hospital Management from ESA and the second in health sciences and public health from Université Paris Diderot – Paris 7, France. She holds diplomas as well in ultrasound guided regional anesthesia and clinical simulation.
Dr Karam is a subject matter expert in anesthesia and operating room management and currently serves as the coordinator and surveyor for Hospital Accreditation in Lebanon, with the Ministry of Public Health.
